Why Are My So Lazy ?

This article was written as a result of the question asked by one of our clients.

‘‘Hello sir, I don't know what's wrong with me. I can't read, do my assignments nor perform my house chores. Why are my so lazy?

Laziness can be defined as the unwillingness to work or make an effort. Laziness is a dangerous disease. It has deprived some people their opportunities to succeed. It has been proven that failures are known for laziness. I know you wouldn't like to be a failure even if you are lazy. However, I will like to share with you why people become lazy.

NOTE: We are willing to answer your questions by writing them as an article. Send us your questions here.

1. PROCRASTINATION
About 90% of people that usually procrastinate are known for laziness. Prolonging and postponing things is simply making the heart sick. It makes you pack a bunch of burdens waiting for the time it will be attended to. The truth is, I was once a victim of procrastination.

When its time to read, I will be watching the television. When its time to do my assignments, I see myself playing football. But until I came to understand what I was doing- procrastination, I discovered that the time is flying. No more going back for me. I now had to be more serious and achieve what I had procrastinated.
Bear it in your mind that time is flying, waiting for no man. The more you postpone, the more you waist your irreversible time.

If you can just make extensive research about successful people, you will just discover that conquering procrastination is just a step of becoming successful.

2. LACK OF PLAN
It is believed that those who don't have a plan for the day are visionless and purposeless. You will be totally confused about how your day will be if you don't write it down.

It's simple. Just buy a notepad for your daily plans. As each day goes by, write a plan of what you want to achieve. Choose a convenient time and think about tomorrow. Prioritize your tomorrow's priorities. Group them on the ones you ‘‘MUST’’ do, the ones you ‘‘SHOULD’’ do and the ones you ‘‘CAN’’ do later. Then start working from the MUST before the SHOULD. If you still have more time then go for the CAN. This is a great step of conquering laziness.

3. ASSOCIATION
Your association determines your acceleration in life. Just like the bible said ‘‘ Bad association corrupts good morals’’. This is a simple truth. If you are too lazy, check your association or friends. I believe that the friends you keep have great influence than your parents even if you have more time with your parents. This is because your friends are your mates, goes through the same stage of life and the same mindset.

However, you have no option than to change your friends whenever you experience any deterioration such as laziness in your life. Like I will always say, friends, are catalysts. They either expedite your purpose or decelerate it. Scrutinize your friends now.

Do they multiply you?
Do they divide you?
Do they add good things to you?
Do they subtract from what you have?
Answer these above questions.

4. MISCONCEPTION OF HUMILITY
Many people cannot place a dichotomy between laziness and humility. Many think that they are humble but they don't know that they are lazy. Humility is not being quiet or being alone or being repulsive. It means bringing oneself down. Humility shouldn't make you be the dullest student in the class. Humble people are strong and intelligent people.

So if your humility leads you laziness, check your life.
However, I just listed a few things that cause laziness. I believe it will change your mindset. Success-minded people always have a success mentality; and for you to have a success mentality, laziness must be jettisoned from your journey towards success.
