Often times students want to be taught everything in school but it's never so. School can only teach you the basic things of life and not everything. 

However, there are some certain things in life that are of great importance and should be developed than waiting for your school to teach it. However these 10 things that you'll never learn in school shouldn't be a criterion to stop going to school nor to stop studying, but the truth is that it adds more value to your life.




1. SKILLS

Skills are one of the major things students need to develop and stop waiting for the school to teach them. The state of our country today requires that every citizen should have skills that will help him/her to be independent to the government. 

Having skills is the only means to survive the high unemployment rate in Nigeria."Do you have a skill?" If "NO" then how do you think you can survive if you don't get a job? If "YES", then how far have you gone to make it profitable? In case you don't have any skill, there are many profitable skills you can learn out there. Choose the ones you love with passion and stop delaying your time waiting for a white collar job.

2.  THINKING

There are lots of things that will come into existence when you think. Thinking gives you the ability to create fictions that will one day become a reality when acted upon. Your future lies in your hands and not in the school.

3.  HOW TO MANAGE AND MAKE MONEY

School cannot make you have a financial savvy mentality. It's up to you to define strategies to manage and make money in other to sustain yourself.

4.  HOW TO REPAIR THINGS AT HOME

It's so unfortunate that we leave things spoiled waiting for technicians to repair them and charge some money. Such things which include radio, clock, sockets etc are very simple to repair. If you are not ready to repair things yourself then be ready to spend money on things you can do.

5.  COOKING

I know this point may sound funny but its true. Your school will not teach you how to cook. It’s your parent’s duty to you how to cook or you learn it by yourself.

6.  TIME MANAGEMENT

Time management is a very important success incentives you need to develop in your life. You should set daily schedules and prioritize your priorities.Learn to utilize your time on things that are prolific, urgent and important.

7.  BUDGET

This is the money available to a person and how the person plans to spend it over a period of time. Sometimes we get money but we don't know how to spend or invest to get more. An important thing that can help you to take control over your finances is learning how to budget. Lack of budget can lead to extravagance.

8.  HOW TO ANSWER INTERVIEW QUESTIONS

Answering interview questions is very important insomuch that its the only criterion to secure a job if you impressed the interviewer. Students must be able to maintain good posture, show common courtesy and answer questions honestly.

9.  HOW TO RUN A BUSINESS

Assuming you are a manger of a company or you own a business, can you really run you it successfully? Individuals should personally develop the basic skills and ethics that drives a business like organization, control and marketing skills

10.  HOW TO MAKE YOURSELF HAPPY

You can go to school and get all the certificates and degrees and still become poor which causes unhappiness. Learning from past mistakes and dealing with failures and disappointments is a major key that can ignite your happiness.
